Strength challenge

Beat the rank, not just the kilos.

Each lifter is compared with their own named cohort. Inputs stay in this page; no account or leaderboard.

fairness and limits

  • The comparison is percentile against each lifter's own named OpenPowerlifting cohort. Absolute kilograms are secondary.
  • Every result is self-entered. LiftGauge does not verify identity, video, technique, weigh-in, or meet history.
  • Sparse competition cohorts can widen to all ages or a nearby bodyweight class; any widening is shown with the reply.
  • No names, messages, public leaderboard, account, or server-side challenge record exist.

frequently asked

What is actually shared in a LiftGauge challenge?
The link contains the lift, lifted kilograms, percentile, equipment, the exact dataset identity, an optional display date, and schema version 2. It does not contain bodyweight, age, sex, a name, your saved profile, or local result history. Unknown fields make the link invalid.
Is a challenge result verified?
No. Every result is self-entered. LiftGauge validates the link format and computes the recipient percentile from its published data, but it does not verify identity, video, technique, weigh-in, or meet results.
How can two different bodyweights compete fairly?
The challenge compares percentile ranks, not kilograms. Each lifter enters their own bodyweight, sex, and powerlifting equipment locally and is ranked in their own named OpenPowerlifting cohort. Absolute load is shown as context, not as the fair-comparison score.
Does opening a challenge overwrite my saved calculators?
No. Challenge inputs stay in the current page only, unless you choose Save to local history, which stores an all-ages snapshot in this browser. Shared-state links elsewhere in LiftGauge are also treated as temporary overlays, so opening a link does not replace the recipient's remembered values.
